Ok, not in the family, but so funny I had to post them.

Mother's Day 2008
Wow! These come quickly these days.
Here's a tribute to my Honey-Punkin. You know a woman is truly becoming a mother when she will ask questions like, "(gasp) Where's Cooper?!" who is comfortably asleep on her shoulder. Or, "Have you seen my car keys?" which are dangling between her teeth. What a woman.
A bit cheesy on the video, I know. Still managed to bring a tear to me eye the first couple times I watched. Hope you like...
The quotes across the screen are too small, sorry. They are as follows:
"Thou art thy mother's glass, and she in thee
Calls back the lovely April of her prime."
William Shakespeare
"There is no limit to what a woman with a mother heart can accomplish."
Julie B. Beck
"All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother."
Abraham Lincoln
"Men are what their mothers made them."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Happy Mother's Day"

Happy Mother's Day!
My favorite quote on motherhood as of late is by Elder Ballard: "The joy of motherhood comes in moments." These are my two "moments." They are so very cute and fun and lovable. So far this morning we have had all good moments (thanks in part to Rob helping out) and I am thankful for my family. I hope everyone (especially Heidi Mae, Dacia and Carole) all have fabulous Mother's Days! We love you all! -Diedre

WOW!!!
This is a monumental day in the Diedre Gray household! I know, I will sound like a complete dork in one moment but this has got to be documented. All of my laundry is clean! Yes, that is right. There is not a speck of dirty laundry in my house (barring any clothes we are wearing or any hidden clothes not seen in a corner). Not only that, it is folded, hung up and put away. Okay, so not everything is ironed; I am not sure even Wonder Woman could accomplish that in one day but there is no dirty laundry in the bathroom, in laundry baskets or any lingering laundry to be folded. Again, wow! Please, do not be too impressed, this will likely never happen again. I just have to shout out to the world that I am caught up on laundry. Now, for the deep cleaning of those bathrooms...maybe one day. :)
My New Plates
Not to be outdone, I also got some 'vanity' plates. Mindy and I came up with a few good ideas and put them on the Jackson family website in the form of a poll to see which idea would come out tops. Both the family and Mindy liked this one (one of Mindy's ideas) the most:

2th Stud or is it short for 2th Student? We'll let you debate.

Our New Grill!
With the economy being out of whack, and the call for Congress to send out these lovely stimulus checks, we decided to do what the government would like us to do for the economy (but what economists would advise against doing) by deciding to spend it on a short term investment! A grill! Of course, we don't plan on it being a short term investment. Quite the contrary, we hope to put it to good use for many a year! We celebrated its inaugural use by having Paul, Anna, and their girls over for a quick BBQ. Here's a couple pics:
Starting to put the grill together... Don't you
love my headband? It matched my shorts nicely.
